Pete and I went and visited the Angel of the North sculpture today. It’s in a very exposed spot which proved to be very windy and just about blew us off the hill! It was truly awesome though and we were pleased that unlike us it wasn’t swaying in the breeze!

Wicked aye, we don’t tend to have much impressive art like this in NZ – we have big carrots and that aeroplane that’s actually a cafe (does that count as art?). There’s some cool pics at Wikipedia.
